Due to the high demand for places at our school, the Department of Education has designated Dianella Heights as a local intake area school. This means that first preference is given to families who reside within our intake area.
You can view our intake area by searching the Department of Education Schools Online. Please note we do not provide maps of our boundary area.
If you reside outside our intake area you are still welcome to apply for enrolment at our school but your child is not guaranteed a position. Your application will be kept on file and if a vacancy arises you will be contacted. Please DO NOT contact the school querying the status of your application. Please note that if we are not able to place your child in our school then you will need to come into the office to complete another application form for the following academic year. Applications are not automatically rolled over to the following year. Placement decisions are based on a strict priority order as per the Department of Education Enrolment Policy.
Application for Kindy
Applications for Kindy will be accepted during the year prior to eligibility. To calculate the year that your child should start kindy, please CLICK HERE.
Please note: We can only guarantee a place in Pre Primary for children who reside within our boundary area. However parents who are out of boundary may submit an application. All applications will be considered in relation to current enrolment numbers.

Enrolment into Kindy at DHPS does not guarantee a place in Pre-Primary for the following year unless residence is within our intake area. Parents of kindergarten students will need to re-apply for a position in Pre-Primary for the following year. Students who reside outside the boundary area are not guaranteed a position in this compulsory year of schooling.
- An Application Form may be completed at the school office between the hours of 9.00am and 2.30pm.
- The following documents must be presented at application: birth certificate or passport, immunisation statement (available from Medicare) and visa details if applicable
- In addition to this, up to three forms of proof of residence may be requested. Preferred documents are a utilities bill (gas, electricity or water rates), rental agreement and bond lodgement receipt or purchase agreement. In some cases a Stat Dec may be requested to verify place of residence.
